Περιγραφή Προγράμματος

The Strathclyde MBA is not just a business programme, it's a stimulating, challenging, life-changing experience, which will make you question, re-think and re-evaluate how you do business.

The Strathclyde MBA is highly experiential and based on collaborative learning. Students share their varied work experiences, knowledge, understanding and skills.

The MBA will shape and guide you as a reflective, open- thinking, and adaptive learner. This is facilitated through enhanced understanding of the interplay of theory and practice in management. In particular it:

  • provides the skills required for progression to higher level policy-forming positions
  • allows you to make successful career transitions
  • facilitates the move from technical specialism to general management
  • polishes the skills and enhances the abilities of people working for themselves or about to set up in business

International Centers

Strathclyde's pioneering spirit brought the Strathclyde MBA into many new countries via the establishment of international centers. These centers meant, for the first time, local managers could study for a UK MBA in their own country. This earned Strathclyde Business School the prestigious Queen’s Award for Export Achievement in 1993.

We now operate eight international centers in Singapore, Malaysia, the Gulf (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain and Oman), Switzerland and Greece. In Greece, the MBA Programme has been established since 1996 (20th Anniversary in 2016) and has more than 600 graduates.

International accreditation

There are three international accrediting bodies for business schools:

  • AACSB - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, based in the USA
  • EQUIS - the quality assurance scheme run by the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd) and based in Brussels
  • AMBA - the Association of MBAs, based in the UK

Strathclyde is one of few institutions in the world to have achieved triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS (as of January 2017, 77 business schools have this status.

These accreditations are rigorous processes that involve assessment of numerous aspects of the school and its programmes. Typically, this involves the business school submitting an in-depth self-analysis report for scrutiny by these bodies, followed by a visiting panel and the consequent interviewing of current students, staff, alumni, corporate clients and employers. These bodies have no obligation to make an award - indeed, many business schools are unsuccessful in their application. All the more reason for us to promote this achievement.

How the Programme runs in Greece

IMS College (The Greek International Centre of Strathclyde University) is responsible for promoting and delivering the Strathclyde MBA in Greece. More specifically, IMS provides local administrative services as well as seminars and examinations. SBS provides core teaching materials and sends Strathclyde University faculty members to Greece to run intensive seminars. All assessment is the responsibility of Strathclyde and successful participants will be awarded a University of Strathclyde Master of Business Administration. The program runs simultaneously in Glasgow (FT, PT and Flexible) as well as in the remaining 8 international centers with all assignments and exams being COMMON for all places. The Strathclyde MBA in Athens has two intakes per year, one starting in April and the other in October.

The programme is launched with an initial intensive seminar (Programme Seminar/Learning Manager and/or Business Game).

This is followed by regular two or three day seminars (about twice a month, on a weekend and one evening per week). You can stay 100% in your job while you are doing the Strathclyde MBA. In total there are 14 modules plus a Thesis. For more information about the courses please visit

Participants are required to complete a range of preparatory tasks and readings both from published materials and materials specially commissioned by Strathclyde Business School before seminars. In each subject, the seminars are led by faculty from the University of Strathclyde Business School and will focus on the key theories, principles, case studies, and practical applications of the area under discussion.
