Aims of the Program

The Advanced Certification Program for Corporate Coaching equips managers, team leaders and internal/ external coaches with the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to coach individuals in organisations for the maximum use of their potential and the achievement of superior performance, taking in account organisational context, inter-relations dynamics and individual needs. This program aims to achieve that through a personal transformation of each participant supported by an holistic learning process including transfer of knowledge, action and individual/collective reflection.

The Advanced Certification Program for Corporate Coaching is developed and delivered by TopTeam World. The modules are delivered over a period of 8 months, which enables delegates to reflect on knowledge acquired and apply it in your coaching practice.

The program is accredited by EMCC - European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EQA - Practitioner level).

Systemic Approach in Coaching

Why is it important to coach from a systemic perspective?
There are two fundamental reasons that a systemic approach is critical to effective corporate coaching:

  • We are, in fact, systems living in larger systems. As human beings we know we are part of a whole natural system. We are all interconnected. A systems perspective gives us access to the fullness of this interconnection. Systems thinking is a powerful way to understand ourselves, one another, and our world.
  • The systems in which our clients live and work have a significant impact on their ability to achieve desired results. To serve them best, we need to help client leaders see how the forces in their internal and external systems influence their ability to create what they want and what they can do in their system to increase their success rate. If, as coaches, we do not take into account these broader and deeper systemic forces, we are ignoring huge areas of their lives, areas with forces that can greatly impede, or powerfully support their work and life as leaders and individuals.

What does coaching from a systems perspective include?
More broadly and deeply coaching systemically means being aware of three worlds and how they interplay to produce outcomes:

  • The Face-to-Face World: our interactions with our client, and their face-to-face interactions with other key people.
  • The Larger External World: for example our client’s organization, their business, their customers, and their marketplace.
  • The Deeper Internal World: How/what our client leaders think and feel, their mental models/ underlying assumptions, their deeper beliefs, and in some cases, their deep story.

NLP and Coaching

Various NLP tools and patterns can be used to help people change their unwanted or dysfunctional behaviours, which keep us away from our goals and objectives, and replace them with new behaviours and choices, which were not available to them previously and will support their goals.
NLP can be described as the “manual of the mind”, as it proposes a decoding method related to:

  • The way in which the human mind shapes reality
  • The recipe to successfully achieve ones goals
  • The patterns of effective communication
  • The thought process, communication and behavioural patterns of geniuses.

A Coach using NLP techniques and models has the skills to decode how a client perceives reality (neuro), how they have coded their experiences and what unconscious strategies they are using (programming), in order to use language patterns (linguistic) successfully to help a client achieve their goals.
